This year CUPE 1479 voted to have $500 bursaries given to students who are children of CUPE members, graduated high school and going to post secondary in the fall of 2022.
Initially there were 16 applicants, but one was disqualified for not having all the information, one was late and two were submitted twice- so in the end there were 12. We had to do one redraw as this person entered twice and it wasn’t caught before their name was drawn.
