Schools closed – reopen April 6th

Hello everyone,

Schools are closed, with custodian staff in doing deep clean week of March Break. Then shut tight for two weeks.  The board office will be running a skeleton crew in payroll and finance. If you are 10month permanent you are laid off as usual during the March Break and then paid for the two weeks. LTO staff will need to put in time sheets. The board has said they will not being paying casual staff and that you will need to stay on EI. We have checked and at this point the government has left it up to individual boards to make the decision on supply staff.

All staff need to be paying attention to their board email and website at the end of March Break for directions. Staff are expected to be available and working from home.
